Bear or Cub

I posted this elsewhere but i wanted to hear some feedback on this. Am I a bear or a Cub?? I am 23 (Soon to be 24 on Aug 11 =D), a beefy/ stocky guy, with lots of hair. I have lots of hair on my chest, back, legs and even ass. Just a big furball! ;-) But some guys have told me i am a cub because of how young i am and others say i am a bear ( Read more... )

LOL Sorry i'm no help! =P

For me though, I fall in between somewhere on the aggressive v. Submissive scale. There are some days where i want to be really aggressive and others where i'm totally submissive. ;-)

Well first off I have to say good question what is the difference between a Bear and a Cub. You can ask people and I think you will get as many different answers as the number of people you ask. I think its just a sort of changeable label. Yet, If you are 50 cub to me is out the window.

Hell I'm not even sure what most People would classify me as. Same as you and Neuroticgy81 both I am a big ball of fur and can be very aggressive with the right guy. But most still think of me as a cub or so I have been told.

Guess i would have to meet ya and see what I think but so far you come off as a cub. :) thats not such a bad thing to be.

Being a bear or cub is not about being top or bottom, aggressive or submissive...well at least not in the beginning. Granted I wouldn't say I was there from the beginning but I've read enough about this subject I think. *wow huge run on sentence* It was about the look. Bears and cubs are both kind of thick husky guys and fur balls. The only difference would be height. Bears tend to be bigger than cubs because they are called cubs for a reason. Baby bear. I classify my-self as a cub because in the bear community I have found my-self to be short. I'm 5'10, 210 and pretty hairy not as hairy as most though from what I've learned. I openly admit that I am a bottom but that wouldn't make me a cub. Cubs fuck bears all the time because there are those crazy versatile people out there that if you went by any definition besides this one would not be able to be classified. Man I hear this question so many times a year its almost not funny. My boyfriend would have to be a bear which is funny because he is the more timid of the two ( ... )

I would say youre a cub.

As far as my take on Bear/Cub: its all a state of mind. I think bears are one or more of these... Older, Mature, Experienced, Nuturing, Involved in the community, Big, Beefy, Hairy.

Cubs are more new to the scene/community and not experienced or have no interest in taking on the role of teacher.

Otter is something ive never understood.... I put that in the category of wolf, fox etc. Guess they wanna be in the Bear community but want to be different.

I dont put myself in any of those categories... but people that know me in the bear community call me Bear, but just by looking at me and not knowing me, people would classify me as a cub.

It all boils down to what you make it. There is NO set definition.
