Garrus/Femshep After Dark sequel

I wanted to wait till I have a link to where I’ll be posting the cleaned up version of After Dark, but I don’t know how much more time my beta will need and I felt some Garrus/FemShep craving today, so here it is a bit sooner than planned.Some anons wanted a sequel to After Dark focusing on their first time together. This will probably be a bit different than expected, but I hope you’ll enjoy it anyway. I’ll try to include the rest of what was requested in the next part. There will be two chapters- one for Garrus, one for Shepard, I’m not sure when her part will be finished, but it shouldn’t take longer than usual

It was late. Usually at this time Garrus was sleeping, resting to be at his best for the next day in the Spectre training, but tonight he had taken the long way home. He did it more often than he’d like to admit, but after leaving the Normandy and Shepard he wanted to have his thoughts sorted out before seeing her again. He was the last from her non-human crew that left the ship after defeating Saren. First was Tali - two days after the fight she returned to flotilla with her files on geth, then Wrex, but he didn’t reveal his plans. Liara was third who went back to her old life. Garrus had delayed it for as long as he could and Shepard didn’t even once mention she wanted him gone, but he had felt when it was time

Apparently Shepard didn’t want him around anymore either since when he told her about his decision to leave for the training, she only said she thought it was a good idea. She didn’t ask him to stay longer, didn’t say she’d miss him or that she was sad to see him leave. It made him angry that after everything he meant so little to her. And it hurt as hell

She took a pause to drink and think again. Garrus watched her while trying to come up with something to say, but there really wasn’t an appropriate answer to her confession so he waited for her to continue. He couldn’t help, but to feel relief now that he knew why she had been so reserved when they bid farewell

He pressed his mouth to her lips. He felt them part and then her tongue was carefully brushing his plates. He let his meet hers, he knew this was something human couples did. Where they really a couple now? Garrus wrapped his arms around her, feeling her skin and muscles against his skin and plates. It was strange - in past he had tried to touch her as little as possible, but now he was seeking the contact. Her hands came to his waist. It usually turned him on to be touched like that, but this time he didn’t feel anything. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but it simply didn’t have any effect. Then again they were just starting, so he decided not to think about it and instead concentrate on the kiss

This is untypically sweet for me, not only considering the first part of this story, but all fics I’ve written. Still, I didn’t find a better way to write this part of their relationship. I figured only something completely opposite of what they had gone through would overwrite their past experiences. So, enjoy all the fluff I purposely avoided in After Dark I. In my mind I justify this as character/relationship development :D But after everything they’ve been through, they deserve nothing less. Shepard looked like the embodiment of calm to anyone stumbling on her in the mess hall. She sat at the table, her eyes turned to the windows of med bay that were currently darkened. Still, no one dared to come near her. Even Gardner had disappeared from his post at some point. She was still wearing her armor though large part of it was dark blue with Garrus blood. Nothing ever was simple for them. They kept getting thrown together and then torn apart like it was some kind of game, a test how much they could take it. This was already the third
