During the raid on Mindoir, Shepard gets taken with the rest of the humans. Batarians divide them in two groups - those who’d stay in their space and those who’d get trained and sold to someone in the rest of the galaxy. Shepard’s in the second

OP: I really like the pacing and attention to the details. You’re writing this amazingly, I didn’t notice anything wrong with the tenses, though probably because I was too immersed in the story.

I love your attention to detail. The way Shepard reacts to everything seems heartbreakingly realistic. It really allows me to buy into the scenario. And the flashbacks, the memories of defiance, the glimpse into her training and breaking... they all work together well to explain how it was possible that a badass like Shepard became the character we see now.
Couple of things I wanted to say, plus I am procrastinating writing a paper.
1) thanks for your comments! ILU all!
2) I feel like I maybe should have put trigger warnings or something in the preface, but Inwas hoping the whole thread having the words ex sex slave in it would be a dead give away. If I was wrong, I sincerely apologize.
3) there were some MAJOR tense issues in the last section. I, once again, apologize profusely. I really do proofread this shit. I will multi-task less while doing so.

A/N: apologies for the shorter update. I am partially through a much longer one that advances the plot quite a bit. In the meantime, have some young Garrus. He's cute

He had no doubt that by human standards she was pretty, even with all of her scars, but curled into a ball and covering her head with one arm she looked more like a broken doll. He knew, of course, that he wasn't a permanant resting place for her, just a brief shelter, but he had the desire to fix her. Surely, somewhere beneath all the damage, there had to be something salvagable

"I..appreciate your kindness." She winced at the use of the personal pronoun, as if she were expecting to be struck. It was, Garrus decided, much like talking to a wall trying to explain things to her. He smiled back at her anyways.
"You're safe now, Annika, just, get some sleep."
Maybe even a wall would understand if he repeated himself enough times.

The bit where she was baring her throat to him in that learned gesture was just really goddamn painful to watch, but I think you know that. While I'm sitting here I just want to sype put advice to the two of them as silly as that is, you're writing beautifully A!A.

A/N: so...this is my first fill-a-thon. After it's over what happens to this thread? Should I move this story to the next thread or just keep posting here

Answering your question: Just keep posting here. I think comment capacity is something like 10000 comments, so you should be safe for quite awhile. The mod will open up a new part for prompts and such, but old parts that haven't reached capacity yet are still open for posting.
