Shotgun as a Verb, Part 2. anonymous April 19 2013, 00:03:38 UTC
So! After what seems like an eternity, Shotgun as a Verb Part 2 is pretty much complete. I just have some minor stuff to clean up as I post it. Part 1 can be found here:

http://masseffectkink.livejournal.com/5405.html?thread=23306269#t23306269

I found it pretty funny that while I was in the middle of writing a mostly aimless goofy story about Shepard hanging out on shore leave, Bioware released a DLC with... a mostly aimless goofy story about Shepard and crew hanging out on shore leave. Weird.

I'll be posting this over the span of a week or two. Once again, character limits are just about the last thing I worry about when I write, so some sections might end in an odd place. Just bear with me.

Lastly, please take the time to leave me a comment if you enjoy it. This has taken a crazy amount of time to finish, and it never fails to make my day when I see that somebody enjoyed my writing.

Shepard noticed two things as she woke up. The first: she was way too hot. Burning up. The second: She found she had been using her gunnery officer as a body pillow. She guessed those two things were probably related ( ... )

Garrus couldn't believe it. Things were finally starting to go his way. Last night... it was all coming back to him. As far as he was could tell, there weren't many ways it could have turned out better. Just spending time with her was more fun than he'd had in years, and they had shared a real connection later in the night. His memory got a bit blurry after they started on the wine, but he did remember she had made it clear that their interest in each other was mutual. Waking up in her cabin - in her bed - had some obvious implications, but he was a bit worried he was remembering things wrong. It all seemed too good to be true ( ... )

The commander was trying not to think about how the ship was currently docked at the Citadel, and she was still working, sending messages and poring over dossiers. She had promised herself she wouldn't work during shore leave anymore, but being the commander of a ship, waiting a few days to check her messages could mean lives lost ( ... )

"Yessir! Ma'am! ...Commander-lady!" Garrus performed a rigid salute and severed the comm link.

That right there gave me my first lol of the day. XD

Upon arriving at the CIC, Shepard found she was a bit early, so she reflexively walked up to see what Joker was up to. Like Garrus, he was one of the precious few people on the SR-2 she was sure she could trust ( ... )
