M!Shep/Kal’Reegar (Repost)

Given their lifestyle on the Flotilla, one would have to imagine same-sex couplings are looked down upon because they can't help grow the species by having kids of their own. So with that stigma in mind, enter Kal'Reegar who is gay and ends up falling for Commander Shepard- as though being gay weren't bad enough, now he's interested in a human. He figures it's a pointless emotion anyway- surely the famous Commander Shepard has plenty of potential suitors, why choose a Quarian? Except he would be wrong. (Writer's choice if Reegar ends up leaving Haestrom with the Normandy crew, follows after Tali's trial, or even finds Shepard post-ME2.)
So there are so many fics out there of MShenko where Shepard tops or Kaidan tops, and even switching. But I've only ever seen bottom Virgin!Shep before, and I love it, buuut....
The thing is Kaidan is canonically bi, so there is a strong possibility that he has only ever topped before. SOOOooooo...I want to see Kaidan bottom for the first time! Consensually, o' course. Preference would be that it isn't their first time ever, just first time Kaidan has ever bottomed.

I actually could really go for that. Especially if he still really dislikes humans. Then we would get a hot older Femshep spectre and a young and fiery Saren. So would this be a case of turians being the new race or a case of humans being around a little longer? Did she request to train him? Or was she told to?
Shepard survived ME3, but not in one piece: s/he can't see, hear, talk, or move. The 22nd century can engineer replacements for eyes, ears and limbs, but they'll take time now that everything's been leveled by the Reapers. And unless s/he wants to use the "reliable" Shepard VI, s/he may never talk again.
For now that means Shep can't help rebuild, or fight, or walk, or even check an omnitool. There's no longer a need for shooting husks or punching reporters, but knowing you're one coma away from a vegetative state leaves him/her feeling extremely pathetic.
The LI, of course, doesn't give a fuck. S/he looks after Shepard's every need all the way through the recovery, and way into the future. S/he doesn't care what state Shepard's in, or what he has to do for her - Shep's alive, and whatever happens next, it can only get better.

I'm sorely tempted by this- right up my street to go for something like this. Might combine it with a rare pair- if I can figure out which one to go with, that is!

A/N: I hope this pairing is okay, and that I made a few slight modifications to the extent of Shepard's injuries. The title is from "Walk Through Hell" by Say Anything. Shepard is a class B quadriplegic which means that she can feel but not move below her neck. Now onto the fill.

“Don’t leave me behind,” he begged, reaching out to touch her one last time before the world ended. But she did.

The Normandy crash lands on a world Kaidan’s never seen before, vibrant and verdant in a way he supposes Earth once was. As he steps, squinting, into the sunlight, all he can think is I wish Shepard could see this.He doesn’t know who gives up first-who stops believing that she’s still alive, who stops hoping to hear her comm crackle to life, followed by a laugh or a word or even just the sound of breathing-but he knows that he and Joker keep holding on long after everyone else has. At some point, it becomes a competition, a morbid game of chicken. Who will flinch first? And when
