We got up early to head to the Original Pancake house for breakfast. It was her first time there and agreed it was yummilicious. Then to big lots to walk some of it off and get a sound system for our living room tv. Now it's time to wait to hit Cars 2 at Plano Tinsel Town. Then home to veg in the AC the rest of the day.
Good weekend so far.

2nd week back at work is not a whole lot easier then the first, it is only Tuesday and I am drained and hurting. I am still using a cane for support, I do it just incase I stumble. If I happen to fall I have to go to ER for xrays. Z has gone back home for the week, like usual, I will see her again Thursday. Just one shitty morning today, I will eat ( Read more... )

First week of work post surgery is over and it took just about all weekend to recover. I am getting better, still 3 steps forward and 1 step back (better then 2 steps back) I slept through Friday and was groggy the rest of the weekend. Today is netflix day and vegging even more.

We have had today planned for some time. We got up early and went out for breakfast at Le Peep, OMG it was wonderful!! I can not recommend it enough. Then it was Harry Potter time, the next few hours flew. I will not go into it much incase others have not seen it yet. All I can say is it was more then worth it. I lost a dear friend the other day,she had NF (Neurofibromatosis) some of the tumors became cancerous and she died from compications after surgery. She was only 25 and was on the Scarborough performing company. Through all her pain she stayed positive and active. I never heard her complain and she always had a dazzling smile. appearently the recovery from my back surgery is going to be months not weeks. I will be able to return to work soon but total recovery will be a long road. not happy about this.

Never eat italian food from a place that is a half chinese delivery restaurant. I ended up dreaming of not being able to get away from alligators and snakes. Then you wake up from dreaming of beating up this huge fucking snake and it turns out to be your girlfriends leg she has wrapped around you that your beating on!! I am still house bound healing from surgery. I feel like it's 3 steps forward 2 steps back.Makenzie takes very good care of me when she is home. she gets home at 3 in the afternoon so it's not too bad, I am by myself only a few hours a day. the pain is much better, but I am still fighting edema in my lower legs and feet. I will be off about 3 weeks recovering. Glad I have netflix, good meds and a wonderful girl.

So I am 2 weeks and a day after surgery, I have my post op Dr visit Monday. I am being taken care of very well, Zie is wonderful. I am on good meds, but I need to ween off the pain meds and keep walking. That's really it for now, I have my netflix and hulu. Thanks to everyone who came to visit, I really appreciate it.
