According to my stepmother, my father is in the outpatient stage of some kind of detoxification program. It's been quite some time since I've seen him truly sober. Whenever I see him, I have a difficult time discerning the effects of the alcohol and the effects of the stroke he had a couple of years ago. Yesterday was a pretty busy day for me, and today will be, as well. I worked my usual 11-7 at the hotel, then went to Syracuse for a NY State-required class(new job stuff). When I was in high school, I would often pick up my friend Jerrod on my way to school in the morning. Have you ever loved something, but didn't know why? I love staples(the office supply, not the store). Staples are just so much fun to play with, break apart, and they are oh-so-tasty. Stapling paper is pretty cool, too.

It's snowing again... and Weather.com indicates we should expect to see another 5" - 9" by 5pm. Even on plowed roads, my car will not bring me up some of the steeper hills that I encounter on my way to work... without tire chains, that is. I've got a sickness... I can't stop car-shopping!!! Yesterday, I drove a Jeep Wrangler(sport package with 30" tires). I wanted to drive the Rubicon edition(dual locking differentials and 33" tires), but the dealer I visited didn't have any. I then visited a Nissan dealership where I drove a 2005 Nissan Xterra. I got the Jeep up and running again... that was a good time. All it took was a little shot of ether in the intake and she was good to go, even after not having been started since November.
