Nurses for Social Justice and Gearing up for School.
Erin and I had a phone date today to discuss the group she's trying to get going for nurses interested in a socially just healthcare system. It was a good brainstorm session and a good way to wrap up my winter break. After an exciting Saturday night of work, i'm hanging out printing out a ridiculous number of pages of syllabi, clinical packets, sample care plan sheets, lecture schedules, lecture notes . . . staggering really. Quiet
Not so surprisingly, I repeatedly get notes back from my assessment professor that i need to rewrite my write-up papers; the ones that say things like "breath sounds clear to auscultation in all lobes with no adventitious sounds" or strength 5/5 to abduction of shoulder," etc. etc. That, and she's constantly pissed off at me because i always get ( Read more... ) -

I have been maintaining a few shifts at work while going back to school, which both makes this situation seem more feasable and keeps me connected to my actual practice while obtaining a new virtual practice.
