Ok people. This is serious business.
I'm making an ultimate 90s mix, and I'm calling for your help. What were you listening to? What, to you, were staples of 90s music? I'm looking for bands and songs other than the standards (Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, etc).
Oh yes, it will be shiny.

RHCP-Under the Bridge
Smashing Pumpkins-Disarm or 1979 or some such song
No Doubt--anything off Tragic Kingdom (like I'm Just a Girl)
Weezer-Buddy Holly
Oasis, Beck, Offspring, Dave Matthews, Radiohead, Tool
Save Ferris-Come on Eileen (because remaking 80's songs was cool in the 90's. and I was really into Save Ferris)
I could go on, but I need to get back to studying. I love 90's rock/alternative...

the KGB, best band out of Oakland to never (really) blow up. "I'm a Player" & "Lover Undercover", with their sugary sweet vocals & completely ridiculous lyrics are so. much. love.
