I've heard that some people feel that their experience during the Incredibles was lacking. Just what exactly did they want that was lacking? Did they not walk out feeling giddy? Did they not experience the joy as the kids discover their powers? Did they not bust a gut at Edna's diatribe against capes? Did they not think Jason Lee as Syndrome was ( Read more... )

I think it's interesting that folks would call The Incredibles a right wing movie. Kindof weird, actually.
Maybe it's like this: The Incredibles is an awesome movie, so I want to be just like it - or it just like me - therefore it's right wing.
Of course, if the folks with this opinion were not actually right wing, it all sort of falls down there.

Damn, that was a good movie. I could totally be talked into seeing it again ;)

In fact, the accusations of being right-wing were from leftist sources. I don't get it. You can impose your own ideology onto the movie easily enough, but to see another that just isn't there is beyond me. I guess these reviewers were looking for witches -- so, everywhere they looked they saw a witch. Oh, and I saw Goody Sibber with the Devil. It's true; I know it is.
