So partnership taxes are all but complete, and I feel good that is has taken me less time than the Texas Caucus.

Taxes are going well, I think, despite the fact that it has already been 10 hours of them and there are at least 10 more hours on the way.

But, I am once again enamored with Google for being so cool.

So, I will move on.

We did a show at Denton High School this morning, which marks the beginning of an 8 day break, which is welcome. We are in Austin right now at my parents house. Tomorrow will begin the Taxes.

But yeah, TI = supercool.

Tonight on a tip from our friend Tim, of the Octopus League, we checked out Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studio in Denton, Texas.

So today after our show in Arkansas City (Pronounced: AR - KAN- SAS CITY) we tried to go to the Pioneer Women's Museum, but it closed due to illness :(

So en route back to the good ol' 35, we came across these baffling Signs

And now we know the rest of the story.

The word "Oklahoma" always looks weird to me, as if it has a typo in there somewhere, but no, I think they know how to spell the name of their own state here, thank you very much.

I only have three more states to visit or cross through before I've collected 'em all!

We didn't think we'd be able to fit Colorado into our schedule again this year, but we made it work. We just did four performances in as many days and now we're leaving already. We left Minneapolis at -10 degrees, did a show in Brookings, South Dakota, slept in Omaha and plowed through the Boulder/Denver area between 30 and 50 degrees ( Read more... )

Performing at high altitude is difficult when you're not used to it. All of the concentration you normally use for general stage-presencey things is replaced by mantras imploring yourself not to tip over sideways or run out of breath if you say more than two words consecutively. Whew.

My somewhat-less-than-scientific and only loosely accurate calculations suggest that the number of individuals who have seen "Calculus: The Musical!" is approaching a very large milestone. It starts with the number "10" and ends with the word "thousand." We will definitely cross this threshold before the week is out ( Read more... )
