Hmmm. It sounds like this film will do absolutely nothing to help anyone understand what math or mathematicians are about at all. But I guess it's silly to expect to learn anything at all from film about what life is actually like for real people. From the looks of it, you'd learn about as much from this about math as you would learn about the army as you would from Blowjob Boot Camp or whatever.

Well, the movie it was based on (per the article) was about love and ritual suicide, so I expect it'll be pretty fucked up either way. Still, could be interesting.

I guess, but it sounds like the only "math" in it is a totally inappropriate product placement stunt for his thesis or whatever... and I'm pretty sure his thesis isn't the golden key to love that can also destroy us all if placed in the wrong hands.

Also, the whole "equation for love that could destroy us all" is really painfully campy. XD
