I know how you feel about wanting to be a quitter but you can't. No ones life is perfect and we all have our own problems but that is what makes us all unique. Is quitting really going to make you that much happier? From what it seems like you really like this girl and I am sure that you cannot just give her up that easily. As for your step mom I really don't know what to tell you....I think that you should just give it time. I hope I was some help and please let me know how things are going for you

Matt .. your not a quitter. you never have been and you never will be just because things are tough right now doesnt mean you necissarly have to quit. i really dont think that you will you care to much to just totally give up. Just think about things for awhile.
