Christmas was good, with my godson's family at their elder daughter's place in Manchester. This turned out to be within walking distance of kalypso_v's house, so I meandered over there on Boxing Day for tea and cake and to inspect the stained glass and woodwork and discuss the Christmas Doctor Who (which I loved, for the record

Seems I've got a temp assignment starting next week, so I'm out of the woods for now. Other house stuff still stressing my brain, though. Good luck with your job-hunting, it's horrid.

Oh, that's a relief - well done. My notion of jobseeking is blighted slightly by my brother's three+ years of it followed by one day a week at the Post Office, but must remember it's not that grim for everyone.
