For those who know my younger brother Matt, his wife is going to have a baby (due on the 4th of July). Scary. And it makes me feel old. My youngest brother Sean is getting married in June!

My thesis defense was this morning, and it went really well! I am now approved to graduate! YEAH!!!!!!

It just occured to me that it is funny that I consider a 13 hour shift great news.  =D  But I was working 13 hours some days anyway, but coming in all 5 (and sometimes 6 or 7) days a week.

I now have the best work schedule EVER.  Well, close to it.  ;)  I am not paid hourly, so I am expected to put in a lot of overtime that I never get paid for.  So, a normal 40-hour work week becomes more like 50+ very easily.  Intel has a habit of burning out people ( Read more... )

I have insomnia! It is 6:20am...not TOO far from my normal bedtime of 2am-4am (my favorite part of working 3pm-midnight), but far enough that I'm gonna regret it tomorrow. I saw an incredible concert on Monday - Suicide Girls, Hatchet, Sebastin Bach, and Guns 'n Roses. Did ya know that some of the Suicide Girls DANCE? Hot tatted out topless and mostly bottomless goth chicks dancing to all sorts of music, including one White Stripes song. And on their last number, they smeared chocolate syrup over each other.
