In the next two weeks I have to:

  • figure out how to compile a bunch of content and have the layout finished (not to mention come up with a few thousand dollars) for the next issue of my 'zine
  • edit a package about "King Kong" (my first on the Final Cut machine!)
  • finish my new reel
  • interview Dillinger Escape Plan and write a story about them for ( Read more... )

In the last few days, I have interviewed the following people:

Ben Affleck ("dude we're so on the same wave-length, maybe I should get a faux hawk too"), Sean Astin (twice), Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd (twice), Hilary Duff, Kirsten Dunst, Aaron Eckhart, Matthew Goode, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Marcia Gay Harden, Mark Harmon, Peter Jackson (twice), Steve ( Read more... )

So I had been feeling like I've accomplished very little lately but it turns out I've pulled off a few things. In the last two days, I have...

  • realized that this seems to be my new ( Read more... )

Last night, I went to Long Beach Arena ("SCREAM FOR ME LONG BEACH ARENA!!" Oh, sorry, Dickinson moment...) and had my suspicions confirmed that, yes, in fact, every Good Charlotte fan is a screaming 14 year old girl. I also learned (or was reminded) that:

  • Ray Cappo likes to roll GC shows, sporting an orange t-shirt with the sleeves cut off, ( Read more... )

  • T-Day

    mattmurdock Nov 26, 2003 16:03

Last Christmas was one of the worst days of my entire life. I had volunteered to be last man standing at MTV News, working Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas, because I was going to spend the holiday with my girlfriend and her Dad like I had the year before, rather than fly "home" to Indiana to be with my family and old friends ( Read more... )

  • John Woo

    mattmurdock Nov 25, 2003 15:50

I'm off to see the new movie from perhaps my favorite director of all time, John Woo. It's called "Paycheck" and it's said to be very Hitchcock-like. It stars Ben Affleck (yeah, yeah) and Uma Thurman. Hmm. It's also, like "Blade Runner" ("Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"), "Minority Report" and "Total Recall" (yes!) based on a Philip K. Dick ( Read more... )
