is it just me or is it totally crap when someone takes something great and fills it with politics to the point where you just look at it with pity

yes, i agree. But then cryptics posts on lj like this one are hardly going to help diffuse the situation or remove the politics.

well i was purposefully leaving out bulk information. but i guess generally the concept remains that regardless of the lack of information.
when people over-politicise something you know? when they take it and then go and pull a pharisee on you.

I got the the lack of info was intentional. But I still don't understand. If the only person that is going to understand is the person you're refering to, then you should probably just talk to them. Otherwise it seems like a bit of a cheap shot to me.

great things are often run with politics. having rules is not a bad thing. having rules provides structure, order and reason. sometimes u need to listen to the people with the understanding of the rules. if you don't agree with them, sometimes its cos u dont have all the information or wisdom that they have.

to extend on my point in a Godly context, Paul gave the early churches many rules about how to operate as a church. this is cos they were full of heart but they had no experience in running a church and lacked wisdom. wen they tried to do it without rules, cos they thought they had all the answers, they got themselves rather lost. so you could say this was politics or rules working in a very positive way for God's glory.

i can give u references if u are interested though i have no idea if this relates at all to what you were thinking wen u posted... it was just wot i thought of... but then again, i have a kinda odd mind sometimes.
