Hodge and Kress continually work with the idea that the dominant class reinforces itself through telecommunications. Maybe I've missed part of the reading, that is certainly a possibility, as I often zone out when reading twelve pages of thesaurus-found words. This is my midterm presentation It is about chapter three of Fairclough's book. I struggled with explaining how this chapter is useful in analyzing anything, and also struggled reading it - his writing is conviluted, and vague while at the same time being overly specific.
