Ok, so I just saw on the news about Peter Pan peanut butter having problems with Salmonella outbreaks. Apparently this is not the first out break since Aug 2006 and they are temporarily shutting down peanut PB until they find the cause. The said to check your PB lid to see if the number starts with 2111.... so, I did. And guess what my PB started ( Read more... )

Seriously. I thought I just had to worry about getting Salmonella from my turtle - but now I have to worry about PB too!?!?!

I too have a half-eaten jar in my cubboard with the same lot #... actually now it's in the trash. Just ate a sandwich this morning - oops!
