Thanks. Interesting stuff. Doesn't seem like there is any reason why I shouldn't switch according to that info. The only reason I had Cingular was because of the free rollover minutes, but I never use them anymore.
I have had Cingular, Suncom, AT&T and now Verizon. I love Verizon. I never have problems with dropped calls or service and I get coverage everywhere....even at my Dad's house in BFE. (He was shocked that anyone could get service out there.) I loved At&t, but they sold me to Suncom. Whatever you do, just don't get suncom.
really? they put up at least one new cell tower kinda recently. i used to have to turn off my phone cuz it didn't work at my 'rents' house. now it gets a great signal.
anyway, if ncm says it's good, i want to switch too! i wonder when my contract is up...
I got burned very badly by Verizon while in college and haven't wanted to go back to them since. There coverage was pretty good, just the customer service people I dealt with were very very crappy. Whatever you do, get the insurance for replacing a phone if something should ever happen to it. That's how I ended up paying $250 for new phone one week after I got my plan which included the free phone. The free phone cost $250 to replace. They said it had water damage yet the phone never left my purse. Yeah, I'm still bitter.
I had Sprint for years when I lived in Raleigh and in Charlotte. They had decent coverage (not great, but as long as I wasn't on the highway or in my dorm room I had service), but the Sprint customer service department is home to the absolute worst customer service representatives I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Rather than bore you with the details, I'll just say that the customer service was the main reason I eventually switched
