A bi-polar day!

Got up and exercised early this morning. Then I spent the rest of the morning coloring, reading stories, and best of all playing with play dough! What could be more fun than that? Then in the afternoon I volunteered at the Red Cross and that brought my mood down. I sat in on an interview of two hurricane victims from right outside New Orleans. It ( Read more... )

For those of you who want to know why I was playing with Play-doh - it was my first morning to spend with the little boy I'm going to be a nanny for. Oh, and I so decided that I need a kid of my own!

Wow... I'm bowled over by your volunteering. That is an incredible thing to do. I hope you are getting enough rest! And anytime you feel down about what you're hearing, just remind yourself that you are doing an incredible thing just to listen to these people's stories.

Yeah, it can be overwhelming but it's for a good cause. Plus, it keeps me busy this week. I'm only nannying in small doses so the kids can acclimate better.
