Fuck it. There's no one in the world worth this. There's no one in the whole world who I can count on. I'm all I've got.
They say that love goes anywhere. In your darkest time, its just enough to know its there. When you go, I'll let you be, but you're killing everything in me.

You need to read the book The Road Less Traveled by Scott Peck. It's important. It's theological, but written in a secular way. It explains that life is difficult and the only life worth living is the difficult life, and until we accept that then we will hate life. It has several chapters on what love is not and how to read yourself and other people who are attracted to each other. The book isn't exactly about relationships as much as it's about learning why the hard parts of life are so important and what you can do to define yourself as a good person through them. You'll be more attractive to the people you love if you consider what the book has to say.

It's not so much that I hate life. Nor do I think its supposed to be fun or easy all the time. I'm well aware that its through trials that we develop perseverance and character.
I will not, however, discredit everyone else's responsibility in their own actions. People have choices. When it comes to me, the choice always seems to be "he's not worth it."
The current system of trust in place in my life is not working. It has to change. And it will probably change before I ever get around to reading that book (unfortunately), although I will try to read it.
When I expect nothing I'll stop being let down.
