Here is a great question an economist should answer: If a person is content to do their second, third, or fourth best--if they are content to never understand what their "best" truly is--then how much food do they deserve to eat. The biggest shame of all is that my superpowers are derived from their excuses, from my excuses.

Wow. What a deep, abstract, thoughtful thing to say. Here's what I meant when I wrote this, because it is a little tricky to understand: Everyone is a superhero. But everyone excuses themselves from doing their best. So the mediocrity we consider sufficient is completely normal, and anyone who actually does their best is an anomaly.
