WAIT one minute now.

HOLD UP.

Why isn't MY name on anyone's hand?  I'm about to sneak into all of your rooms and write it on each of your hands myself.  I like good deeds, too.

a lot.

probably more than you do.

Why would you do that?

To get good deeds, OBVIOUSLY.

That's sort of selfish.

Sort of? That's a step up. Go me!

Look, I'll write your name on their hands too, if you'd like. I'm not begrudging anyone their good deeds. Just want mine, too.

It's going around, so you should eventually get some too.

It'll come around faster if you give me your hand.

Good things come to those who wait. Patience is a virtue. Etc.

Virtue is for Hufflepuffs. Do I look like a marshmallow to you??

I BET YOU ALREADY GOT YOUR GOOD DEED, DIDNT YOU.

No one's got my name either as far as I know so it's not as though you're the only one.

Do you want me to write your name on my hand?

It's alright.

It's because I'm prettier and more loved.

Yeah, that's unlikely.

How else would you explain it?

maty_unscripted October 20 2008, 22:22:14 UTC
I don't HAVE an explanation but I KNOW that's not it.

Is that really what it takes to get a good deed around here? Whatever happened to "Do unto others as you would have done unto you"?

Some people were jealous because they weren't as nice, so people didn't do deeds for them. So they decided to get good deeds and create chaos. It's really rather selfish.

Well that doesn't really make much sense.

Well look at it logically: why would someone create a hex (and from what Michael has said, a very painful hex) that forces you to do good deeds? Unless one was tired of being overlooked and wanted to be recognized and rewarded by having someone do good deeds for them. Now, obviously if it was only one name and one person that would be obvious. BUT. If you make the good deed transfer over and make it 2 instead of 1 name it makes it harder to trace back to the source and find out who is responsible for the madness. It's all rather simple, really.
