Update on Mr. Mav; he didn't get his MRI this week due to an unfortunate (if not completely predictable) confluence of bureaucracry, holidays and the medical profession. It's scheduled for next week with the doctor follow up appointment for the week after.

Just a quick note, I'm still here, really I am. The constant rain and slightly increased activity (finally starting to do stuff to prepare the house) have kicked my Chronic Pain into high gear. As a result the computer and I are having a bit of a trial separation.

Of internet and computer problems and adventures in Indian Cookery
Some weeks ago, our phone connection (and therefore our internet) went cablooey. When holding the phone receiver to the ear all you heard was static and the barest hint of a dial tone. The phone guy finally came out to fix the problem, which he discovered was in the phone line out on the road (not in our house), so that was replaced.

Poor Puppy
Purley was off antibiotics for a week and a half. He's been teething lately and going through it fairly well. Until today, Mr. Mav called me into the den (after I just started to post a NPPW post) to show me that his mouth was bleeding...a LOT. Sea Change
Thanks to catsdownunder for introducing the term sea change to me.
I've been in the process of moving all my online photos to my flickr account since I'm unhappy with what photobucket does to the quality of linked photos and I've apparently used up all my LJ scrapbook allotment. Needless to say this is both time consuming and mind numbing, not a great ( Read more... )
