First HDR picture I've done that I'm actually happy with the results. I used hugin to align the (handheld, not tripod) images and qtpfsgui to tone map the result.

I am scratched, bruised, cut, poked, and sore. But I had a great time and the park was beautiful. I have a little over a hundred pictures, and I'll be going through them and posting them later on.

I bought a bunch of freeze-dried meals from REI to bring with me camping. I cooked one for dinner today to try out both the food and the cooking process.

The hiking group I'm in is planning a labor day weekend trip to Big Bend national park in Texas. I think this will be an excellent opportunity to see more of Texas. I've done a bunch of panoramic pictures, and I've always stitched them together by hand. I wanted to try out some software to see if it would do a better job in less time, as stitching by hand takes a long time and has varying results.
