Yesterday was a bit of a wash. Woke up at about 1 PM after trying to sleep off the results of the drag race night. :P Tim came up from Wichita and hung out for a couple hours while we waited on another friend to drop by with another driveshaft to use in my car. Sounds like my weekend. Mostly a recovery. I understand the whole wanting to hang onto your high school vehicle, I did the same thing with my pickup. It took every ounce of my will to finally let it go. First vehicle are things of great meaning to most folks. :>

Aye. Funny thing is, it's really not any worse than when I had it in high school. My standards have just gotten higher. But, at 220,000 miles, I have to admire it.

Dang! You do have to give the old fella credit for that. My poor DAC only had about 125K on it when I finally sent it to it's next life. It's not really all that much, though the poor thing ran very rough because it didn't have an easy life. :

Yeah, it's amazing. Original engine and transmission. Engine doesn't burn oil, transmission doesn't slip. Now that I've replaced the rear main seal, the engine doesn't even leak. o.o

I'm honestly curious to see if it'd become one of the many 4.0 powered Jeeps that hit 300k.
