I've decided to reflect here, for one, because even if my computer crashes, my thoughts will still be here, and for two, because I've yet to give up the hope that somewhere in the universe, someone reads such things and considers them gravely

Good thoughts. I like them. Here's another thought to add to the bundle: don't overthink it.
I remember when reading Educating Esme, her mentor told her: "No one thing you do as a teacher will destroy a child or recreate them."
It's a process. I live my life in a way I pray is worth emulating, try to be consistent AND fun in my teaching, and remember I'm not the only (or most significant) influence in my students' lives.
