 Just the buzz of the strike and folks raising their voices has already been effective...they took homosexual communities, bisexual communities, DEPRESSION communities, etc. off the search engines too...and have put them back on now.....so please don't think it won't mean anything and doesn't matter to you because you have a paid account already...

I'm with you girl. I have a permanent account and I'm now feeling a little vulnerable at the moment. I'd better get my cashish worth. But I started with a basic account and I loved that!! I'll be unplugging

Back in 2001 I created this very same account in basic mode later upgrading it to paid. For four years I religiously paid my account as well as springing 100$ every year to upgrade 4 random friends (anonymously I might add) on my list in loving memory of mister Lennon. I got the reminder that I was about to expire sometime last month... several years of investing in lj just because I loved the community and atmosphere. The day came and went without my lifting a finger as did the random gifting. I didn't much care for the changes SixApart had made and this new company is just infecting an already lethal wound
