Gotta Break a Few Eggs, Misha, Castiel, PG, no spoilers [1/3] xaara March 30 2010, 19:11:52 UTC
Ted's hooked him up with good shit before, but he's gotta admit, this whole out-of-body experience thing isn't his cup of tea. The funny part is, he can't remember exactly what it was he took, except he's staring at...well, at himself, and while the view isn't what he'd call bad, it's no kind of normal. Also, he apparently looks a lot like his character when he's tripping.

"Hello," he tries, wondering whether the other him (man, this encounter is forever going to fuck with his pronouns) will act like a mirror or talk back.

"You must come with me immediately," says the other him.

"Okaaay," says Misha, "here's the thing. No."

"Your life is in danger," says the other Misha.

Misha rolls his eyes and promises his wary kneecaps that this will not end like the time he convinced himself he needed to hurdle a wall to escape the KGB. "Look, you, whoever you, me. I'm not going anywhere. I'm drinking a gallon of Gatorade and lying down and closing my eyes until you go away ( ... )

Castiel places ANESTRI to claim fifty bonus points and a triple word score. Again.

"What does that even mean?" Misha grumbles, because he's learned not to question the angel's vocabulary. Also, he does not want another Scrabble dictionary to land on his head.

"It is the phase of sexual dormancy in most female--"

"Thank you," says Misha, rearranging his tiles. He stares at his options, the tiny numbers in the bottom right corners of each tile reminding him that Castiel is currently several hundred points ahead. When the floor jumps, tipping the tiles forward off their rack, he has just enough time to think Seriously? before shit starts to get bad.

--

That whole wind-announcing-evil thing has never failed to make Misha roll his eyes at directors. Wind's sort of an outdoorsy phenomenon, and it's tacky otherwise. Plus, it makes the sound guys bitchy, as if they don't already have enough to complain about.

So when this Lilith chick blows into the room--literally, blows--his first thought goes something like, Again with the ( ... )

Something clenches in his chest--fear, but not really.... He struggles for a word and comes up with awe. This is a warrior of fucking God, standing between him and someone who looks, well, like a throwaway guest star juiced up with a whole lot of evil. And some minions.

Much as he appreciates his own minions, these look like they could chew through the lot ( ... )

To what address would you like your two dozen roses delivered?

See, part of the reason I think Misha Collins is awesome (aside from the fact that he's actually a pretty good actor), is that he reminds me of my good friend R. A friend who does things like show up at my front door just before midnight (he would never call ahead) and greet me by saying, "Let's see how long we can ride the elevators at the Hilton before they kick us out," or "Let's see how many different pieces of lemon pie we can find and eat before dawn," or "I have a trunk full of dry ice; let's roll."

Let's just say that R and I have had some...not fully sane times. But man, there are always stories afterwards.

I am closing my eyes and imagining your roses interspersed with the thirty daffodils I picked up yesterday on a whim; my apartment is filled with flowers! I thank you, milady. :)

I...hope you and R have health insurance, but also I cheer you on.

The reason I think the entity or idea we call Misha Collins is awesome is that, somehow, he makes all the RPF we could possibly write, up to and including turning into magical creatures, seem so EERILY PLAUSIBLE.

Haha, we have not [yet] managed to injure ourselves or others. And now that we're, like, grownups, it's a little more difficult to justify the adventures.

I KNOW, RIGHT? I mean, if he said something like, "I wasn't in this week's episode because I spent several days turned into a unicorn," I would BELIEVE HIM. Man, this show.

You made me read RPF! Which I swore I never would. But this was pretty much awesome. XD;; It was Twitter!Misha mixed with Actor!Misha, which I heartily approve. And Castiel being so freaking BAMF with Lillith - that was awesome.

The wrath of livejournal indeed!

You know the first time I even considered writing RPF? NOON, TODAY. I thought, "Heh, that's kind of a fun prompt." And then it attacked me, and two hours later when I came up for air there was this.

This party is doing things to my brain, I kid you not.

Seriously, what demon could possibly stand against legions of pissed-off SPN fangirls? None, I tell you. Screw this Sam and Dean stop the apocalypse business; just tell us where to find Lucifer.

Thanks for the comment!

I hear you on what the party is doing to you: I wrote 2014!Castiel for the first time for this meme, too, and I hate 2014!Castiel. @___@;

I HAVE READ THIS FIC. It had Becky uniting the Internet to stop Lucifer. Unfortunately I didn't save the link. D=! But IT EXISTS.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

YES I &hearts THIS SO MUCH I CAN ONLY EXPRESS IT THROUGH ELIZABETH BARRET BROWNING

I hardly think of Misha-fic as rpf, anyway. Guy is such a character. And I really like how you've made this so in character and awesome and not silly or ott or cracky, but still so much fun. Epicly awesome.

You gave me a sonnet!

Also, this is the fastest I have written anything in freaking ages, which I'm a little disturbed by. Apparently, writing strange encounters between a [debatedly] real person and his character works for me. I am so glad you liked it, since it was, you know, YOUR FAULT. *g*

Castiel knows every language ever, including ones that aren't real. (Or at least my fanon brain likes it that way.) He is the WORST person to play Scrabble against.

Also, you are correct that Misha Collins is not a real person; he's sort of an amalgamation of a hippie and a frat boy and a professor and a stoner and that one cool uncle who always got you amazing Christmas presents and told inappropriate stories at the dinner table.
