Went to the gym and deadlifted huge weights until my arms were numb instead.

Three weeks to go.

I'm supposed to be 'Not Internetting' Um. Damn? I'm trying to keep it brief and 'only for other purposes' i.e. 'Something needs to be installed on Another's Computer' or 'a friend needs me, long weekend night'...

Suprising how difficult it seems!

So I got a job in Melbourne...

I move there in TWO WEEKS!

I'm going to end up really trying hard to not to drink at my own going away party... but i can't make any promises!

I did arrange for it to be on a Sunday - when I have work the next day - to limit alcohol consumption though...

Despite not touching a drop for almost week now, I've managed to wake up with a good portion of a hangover this morning. My stomach's not ropey, but my brain is attempting to break out of my temples ( Read more... )

One whole week.

Went to the gym, squatted 70kg, lost all feeling in my legs.

I'm good.

It's been 6 days of May, hoorah! Most of us are all doing very well. Im proud of you peeps! If you fell off the wagon, one of us probably pushed you off to get more room, sorry about that. Get back on and pick up your Uno cards, it's your turn to play.

Last night the internal call for a glass of red after work was very compelling.

I averted this feeling through a little cognitive therapy by directing the energy towards domestic activity and essay writing. I feel like I made some gains toward changing my thinking on after work habits being coupled with the want for wine.

I fell off the wagon.

And then I ate the wagon.

I'm thinking at least 3000 calories, creating a new record for breaking not only detox but diet in a massive, massive way for the new year.  Yaaay.

Rebuilding the wagon.  Shall build one of bricks, this time.

Just a thought for all my fellow boozehounds out there - I know a lot of us are based in Perth, so would anyone be interested in getting together for a celebratory drink in early June?
