English 101 Professor

I don't understand how an English 101 instructor has horrible grammar, poor spelling, and terrible teaching skills!

Can someone please explain?
There are many professors who I'm sure are way more educated, and who took the time and effort to get a degree in English and want to teach and English class. School Board, analyze and re-evaluate these

Don't get me started in sub-par professors. I'm just about fed up with Delaware Community College and the fact that the professors treat the gig like it's a part time job at McDonald's.

Good analogy, they do lack showing some importance to their teachings. Very few professors still have some consideration and give an extra stretch to teach, because they like to teach. There's been a few professors who I admire up to this date for such great teachings at a CC, sometimes I think they don't belong there. Anyway, good thing for www.ratemyprofessors.com I'm hoping once I transfer to a UC and/or CSU I will get better professors in all or almost all my classes. What's your major?

Unworthy professors made me the insatiable scholar I am today! I sometimes think schools allow these idiots to teach the undergrad courses specifically to weed out the students who really don't want to be there. What else could be the reason for allowing profs to sing their lectures to the tunes of Barbra Streisand songs?

Interesting point. I see what you're saying too. I know some professors do this at the beginning of their courses to intimidate students. It is a challenge for those students who want to be there. They have to find their sources elsewhere while they are paying or whoever is paying for the tuition, books, transportation, etc. Apathetic professors are taking advantage of that, which to me seems as a steal.

*nods* It's the worst kind of theft. They're stealing the futures of those who would do amazing things at those later levels but maybe don't do well on the pedantic stuff.
