rexar mentioned that graduating is probably worthy of a LiveJournal entry, so I decided to do write one.

I had my commencement last Saturday and it went really well. two_pi_r and lalabob11 flew down and I had a bit of family there too. We had a nice dinner afterward and everyone got along.

I'm officially hired on as an intern at El Defensor Chieftain in Socorro for 10-12 weeks staring sometime in May. If anyone knows of a room open for rent in Socorro, I'd be happy to hear about it.

Things have been going very well, and I'll make a real post sometime tonight.

 Wow, I haven't posted in a while.

I'm still chugging along in classes. I'm set to pass everything, then I'll have one required class in the spring (and maybe a couple fun GPA boosters) and graduate in May. I may move to Seattle right after that, but I may find an internship in NM for the summer. I'll be talking to a professor about that possibility ( Read more... )

I got around to scheduling classes for the fall. I don't remember taking only 12 credit hours before and I've taken for granted how many high level classes I've been taking. It should be a fun and relatively easy semester.

I've had a pretty good weekend trying to get things in line and doing some fun but positive things.

Saturday I went to a British car show in Mesilla, a touristy town right next to Las Cruces, and took lots of pictures. I got to sit in the Lotus Europa, the low-slung white car in the set.

I love cats. I generally get along with ones that are shy around most people. If I weren't such a materialist, I might even be a feline otherkin. But I have no sympathy the cat that was rutting and yowling outside my window all night, keeping me up. If I had a crossbow, I'd probably make it go away.

I just registered to volunteer at an anime con. Heh.

My break has gone really well. I went to Carlsbad to visit my parents for a week, then two_pi_r  and I went to Santa Fe for a few days. Straight from there, I went back down to Socorro to spend Christmas with most of my family. I've been in Carlsbad for the holiday. We had some family over, which went relatively well, though we were getting on each others nerves by last night. Everyone left this morning, so I have a chance for some peace and quiet before I head back to school.
