Hi de ho there mcewen May 1 2007, 04:32:54 UTC
I was hunting around LJ [I joined a while back, but then I had jaw surgery so I sort of let things slide] Anyway, I was looking for people who had an interest in autism, but as I went around I found other people through comments which led me all over the shop. It's amazing what connects with whom as you trundle around.
Best wishes

Is that how you found me? I've seen your name in at least one other person's blog (not LJ) related to autism.

Welcome to the madness.

Can't say definitively one way or another - I'm still having trouble familiarizing myself with navigation! Where is GPS when you need it!

I don't want to come off sounding incredibly rude here but I notice I've been friended by this journal and I'm really unsure as to why. Any clarification would be splendid. Thanks.

friend or foe? mcewen May 2 2007, 21:39:43 UTC
I'm new to LJ [had a few months off for jaw surgery]. So I've been looking for people involved with autism here but I'm not very good at navigating so I keep ending up all over the place. As result, I've added people who I thought had interesting sites / interesting comments / great sense of humor etc. as I went. Bit vague I know but it's a steep learning curve.

hi mcewen May 5 2007, 03:39:50 UTC
I was searching for people who are interested in autism [having trouble navigating] and as I searched I came across different people with different sites [and comments] that I found interesting, funny or intriguing, so I added those people too. Is that the wrong way to go about using LJ?

Tee hee about the matches. I have read that in many old "housekeeping" books from the 60s and 70s (my grandma has a really odd, really large collection of books that I more or less memorized when I was little and...anyway...) I myself have no matches in my American bathroom but I did manage to find the humor in your mention of it! I do have a plant in there though, and plants produce oxygen, right?

I'm very glad you friended me because I am thoroughly enjoying reading your entries. Your photos are great and your cat is too -mostly because it looks just like mine, and I think he's super. Nice to meet you!

Well thank you. We kind of like them too [the children not the matches!]
