Just wanted to make a wee post re this. Years ago I read the book Empty Cradles by Magaret Humphries. In the book she tells how she first heard of this scheme and how she became involved with those affected. It took over her life. I read it in one night and used a whole box of tissues. We're getting a puppy!!! He was born on Monday 8th June and is from the same kennel as our late Meggie.  Name list has been started, suggestions welcome - though they must be Scottish. Well you can't give a Cairn Terrier a non-Scottish name can you?!

I'm in desperate need to read the next Diana Gabaldon novel but it's not published yet :-( ... just want to stop reading law books

Have had a mixed day so far have horrid cold  icky visit to GP on an unrelated issue but then lovely trip to pet store for seed for M'Lord.  Had a splendid chat with the chap there about canaries and university life.  Was thrilled with the lovely Gloster canaries (with and without crests) that they had, very tempting but I've really no space for ( Read more... )

My mum has just spoken to my cousin in Exeter who advised that in a 20min period 18inches of snow fell! That's scary.

It's snowing again down there...
