When the DJ drops (over 50%) you have a second entry to dummy and can double finesse diamonds, making unless LHO started with DKQ. Note that your nifty Kokish auction allowed you to control bid 4D, and at the other table they couldn't, so they'd probably get a diamond lead from DKQ(x)! So THEY bid a very good slam.
That's not 'pass double inversion' it's lead-deflective doubles... which is a terrible way to play at a low level because they will redouble you for business fairly often
