What's with the huge number of messenger bags all the undergrads are carrying around these days? Once in a while I can understand the purpose. So, values can't exist in a state of nature. The fact that the sun shines on trees is just that, a fact. It doesn't have moral standing, or a goodness, or a badness. Saying that it is good for the tree means only that sun is something that a tree needs/uses to do what it does. I'm now into the second day of my somewhat unexpected stay at Arlanda airport outside of Stockholm. Despite the small size of this place, it never gets quiet.
