A long, frustrating, exhausting day at work. Lots of bugs in the huge
chunk of code we were trying to integrate into two systems, one on each
end of a network connection. While the contractor who wrote it was out on
paternity leave.
It was pretty obvious that we should have been more proactive about giving
him a more realistic environment to develop in. Except that we were busy
writing it. And that his work fell between two groups. We learned a lot,
and he'll be back next week, hopefully.
On the flip side, one of Colleen's baby blankets finally
reached its
intended target. And
it's a weird, wonderful planet we're living on -- I love it.
