Well, it took two weeks, but we finally have DSL and are once again living the high-speed life. Our apartment is about 75-80% unpacked and set up; what we have left are all the boxes of books, pictures, etc., which will hopefully be done by the end of the weekend. The main problem was shelves -- we didn't have any, because we sold them before ( Read more... )

although, re-reading your post, I suspect Left Coast. District of Columbia issues plates and licenses, but Our Nation's Capitol doesn't. Gah. Need coffee!

Hey- mind sharing details on the farm share? I looked into signing us up, but it didn't quite seem like it would work to our benefit without cutting from somewhere else in our food budget.

Ours is $35 per week for a bin full of produce; the weekly contents are listed here. We eat a lot of fruit, and so I think we'd be spending that much on these kinds of groceries anyway. We hope we'll have little problem going through a bin a week if we stick to being mostly-vegetarian (like we're trying to be). If that turns out to be untrue, we have the option to dial it down to bi-weekly delivery.
