i just finished the golden compass, and OMFG it was sooo good. i was looking foward to go out with my dad today to grab the second book, and i got an sms saying he was boarding a plane to singapore! i just wish he'd tell me these things earlier, so i wouldn't make plans in my head and get super excited about it and then be dissapointed later.
