New year, new us
Ok, a new year (Gregorian at least), and hopefully a new us. We’ve never been one for resolutions, mainly because we’ve seen/heard of so many others failing, but this year we’ve decided to be different. This year we have goals, and therefore resolutions. With any luck we’ll be able to keep/achieve them. So here goes:

We're vindicated!!
Okay, so, the paternal unit almost had us believing that he had remembered our birthday, and just wanted to give us some time to get our head together. Then, this morning we spoke to mom. The saga has ended
We were reminded last night by a good friend that we forgot to post an update about a birthday call from the paternal unit. We finally broke down and called the paternal unit, but it wasn't out of pity, but it was because mom mentioned that her son spoke to him and thought that he sounded like something was wrong. Baha'i struggle on The Daily Show
On Wednesday night, March 31, Roxana Saberi was interviewed on The Daily Show, with John Stewart. Ms Saberi, an Iranian-American journalist, was arrested in Iran, taken to Evin prison & held there for three months. We purchased $50 worth of gift cards for Best Buy. Called to order memory. Do they have the kind we need? NO. So we had to use another $40 to order the memory from a different company. WTF!!!!!! Last update before giving in...again
Well, it has come to the end of the month, and still no call from the paternal unit. We called him, but he did not answer. We will try one more time, probably Sunday, to reach him.

Update...again
Ok, so we gave in and called the parental unit...he didn't answer, and he hasn't called us back. So technically, it has been over two weeks since our birthday, and the parental unit still hasn't remembered. Time marches on.
