I really do.  When I'm upset, or lonely, I feel like I need to cry.  I'll curl up on my bed with a pig or a stuffed animal or the boy, and feel all the emotions that surround tears, but I don't.  Then I'll be watching a corny scene in a tv show all alone in my living room and boom, there's tears.  I don't get it.  I realize it's been probably ( Read more... )

I just realized that the three people who I like best getting hugs from are located in Hawaii, New Jersey, and Romania.  I'm in California.  *laughs* the only way this could get worse is if Yin was in China.

This is just one of those days, I think.  Where I can't find a smile.  No particular reason.  Lotsa small things.  Just no smile today.
It'll be okay though.  I'm sure I'll find a smile soon.  I've got my pigs, and my boy, and my friends, and maybe I'll find a smile tomorrow.  It's nice to have this perspective.  So many of these days I haven't.

Just watched a "non-debate" between the Friendly Atheist and a Lutheran youth minister at OSU.  It's well worth watching.  Wander over to the Friendly Atheist blog (yes I'm too lazy to link) and check it out.  My favorite moment:

Up for comment here.  What are your thoughts on the broad idea of original sin?  (using that term 'cause I'm lapsed Catholic...use whatever terminology works for you)  The idea that we are somehow born or exist unworthy/sinful/imperfect/whathaveyou.  I'll weigh in in the comments at some point probably, but I'd be curious to hear what y'all have to ( Read more... )

I'm sitting here at work, mildly frustrated with a pile of things, and I think I'll vent some of that frustration by posting about something totally unrelated that also bothers me, titled:
