i came away from shaun of the dead feeling like no man walks the earth that could possibly get ALL the references. garden state and the life aquatic are the only other ones in your top ten that i even saw. i don't see gs as a mark of culture-commodification?! it WAS sold to a subsidiary of news corp, but that's the biz innit? i thought saw was a HUGE letdown.

the dawn of the dead set is a fucking work of art just in itself. have you watched all that bonus material? i wonder if i'll ever get to it all! i also intend to pick up the pee-wee's playhouse sets at some point. i don't think that should at-all be a guilty pleasure - the fact that they were doing stuff that radically different on saturday morning television is really something.

i need to see word wars! tivo got the scrabble championships for me as a suggestion a few months ago and i was riveted.

i'm gonna add the shit you recommended that i've not seen to my queues and lists. nice work!

i have no problem w/ garden state the film...i just hate hearing the sorority girls at xavier talk about how good the soundtrack is...

i pretty much watched all of the dawn set in one sitting...i have not watched any of the clerks set which i bought on the same day...

i saw a test screening of sorts of undead at a horror fest..they menat to have all the sound but due to tech problems there was no sound for like 1/2 of it...and it was not done- looked really cool though...the bootleg has been making its rounds...is it going straight to dvd in the states?

i think the fantastic mr. fox is a good idea forwes...i can see him getting himself into a rut...this will prolly help him avoid that...
