[There's not very much to this text other than what's written. There doesn't really need to be all things considered.]

What do your pokémon mean to you?

[Humor him, he's genuinely curious.]

Sounds like sensible conclusion to me.

It's the only conclusion. Look at most of their attacks. For the most part, they make excellent replacements for the weapons of my world.

We are obviously from similar worlds then, as I share similar feelings on these monsters.

Friends, travel companions. I give them food and a place to stay, they stick around as long as they want and keep me company.

And you are happy with that?

They're my friends and partners. I'd do anything for them--and they'd do anything for me.

What makes you so sure on your 'facts'?

[A pause, and then a tag-on to the original message.]

Maybe... You were part of the train incident?

I've been with some of them for more than a year. I know them by now.

The train had nothing to do with it.

they're useful, and they keep things interesting.

[Envy is actually very attached to his Pokemon by now, but hell if he's going to admit that to anyone ever.]

Things seem too reliant on them here. I dislike that.

The only thing I rely on is myself.

[And even then he has his moments.]
