Well, here I am at kingwamba's computer, despairing at the US layout ;)

Delay in Manchester, bumped to another flight from Chicago - when we got here, we just wanted to sleep! But we're safe and well, and ready to go be touristy.

Might post more later in the week, when I've gotten used to it being 82F at midnight!

I'm about ready to embark on the trip to see kingwamba and katjabee, got passport, international driving permit, plane tickets, strange foreign money, insurance, new clothes for hot weather, and my bag is mostly packed.

All that remains is to end the working day, pick up my good lady, sleep and then catch train, bus, plane, plane and we'll be there!

got my car back (and am about 600quid lighter and a brand new turbo heavier)
taken my GF to meet the parents for the first time (went well)
started preparing for my grade 2 Jazz Piano exam (I'll be prepping for quite a while, but it's on the horizon)
