My close friend, Sarah, just got engaged last week. When she told me my mouth dropped open. I was really shocked because she only started seriously dating in November. Oscar Wilde: "The very essence of romance is uncertainty"

Me... I think your right on Jesse. Hopes and plans of indeterminate nature are what this commitment is about. Whereas all my defense mechanisms tell me to fear marriage... I long for it and have always longed for it. I want to consume someones world and have my world consumed. And though the earth doesn't melt away... I've always felt that all an intelligent person can ever hope for is not bliss but contentment.

consume me, james. consume me now!

im hesitant about ever marrying. there are just too many pretty men/women out there that will possibly help your spouse cheat on you. plus we are humans. we get bored with what we have, we covet, and we can be very sneaky about it. and if i ever found out she cheated on me, id probably do something drastic.

heres the solution. very small cameras are imbedded near the eyes of each partner of the marriage with a wireless(the wired variety wouldn't be too popular) peer-to-peer connection between both partners. with some sort of input(a pattern of blinking perhaps), it will display an overlay on your eye/eyes which displays what the other's camera is seeing. and it shouldn't be optional.

An interesting theory concerning cheating... however there is a little thing that will certainly be given to my spouse and I would know she'd give to me: trust... when you really know someone, you don't have to worry about that (or you have to worry about it more I guess).
