It is something isn't it? that realization of how much energy something was taking from your time, it is easy to give because of the place of love it comes from, but such a relief to get back that precious time and energy for your own pups and life. Every time we have a foster or board and train go home it's like the entire households takes a deep breath, ahhh back to normal.

Back to "normal" if there even is one!

And yes, today started our "fall" i believe... the season in which one is never quite sure what the proper attire will be. I need to air out all my jackets! this has been the longest summer I can remember in a long time.

We've had a much more moderate summer than you guys have. We've had a mostly reasonable amount of rainfall (you know, when it didn't flood), and I can only think of one or two days where the temp went above 90. I'm not complaining, not at all. But it did suddenly get very fall like, all the leaves are changing, and oy. The good part, though is I LOVE Michigan falls. Day after day of sunny, crisp days and cool nights. LOVE.

How is your course going? That puppy should not have a face that cute without being arrested

School starts a week from yesterday, so I'll be sure to let you know. I'm excited!

And that puppy, oy. It baffles me to think of a puppy that young in rescue, she should have just been taken from her mom, but she's been away long enough for a family to decide she wasn't going to work out (what's not to work? She's a puppy) and give her to rescue. She was a normal puppy, far as I could tell. All teeth and lungs and pee and poo and chew on everything and wag her tail to make it right.

What great news about finding another foster family for Mackenzie, and what a relief for you. So bizarre about the puppy not working out at that young age... I'd say the puppy was lucky to get out of that house!

The only thing I can imagine is that they got a puppy on a whim (gift?) and had no idea what they were getting into. And yes, that is a lucky puppy, she's going to a great foster home, and I imagine will get adopted REALLY quickly.
