My Narnian fight night

Last night John and I went to a movie together for the first time in months. I had hoped to have a nice pleasant evening out and unfortunately it didn't turn out that way. We went to see Narnia (as you may be able to tell by the title) and it was a pretty good movie. The kids did a great job and the special effects were amazing (what else would ( Read more... )

I am so fed up with people not knowing how to behave in public! My friend who works part-time waiting tables told me that last night a group of people stayed FIVE AND ONE-HALF HOURS at her table in the restaurant and tipped her TWO DOLLARS. And made more than a few rude remarks to her in the meantime.

I don't mean to be what I'm going to sound like (cranky old bitch) but what has happened to public manners?

I'm glad you said something. I wouldn't have had the cajones. Somebody's got to!

This is not blog-yelling. It's just in caps 'cause I really really really mean it. hi_may76 December 13 2005, 00:11:51 UTC
THIS IS WHY SOME OF MY STUDENTS TRULY DO NOT UNDERSTAND MANNERS AND TACT IN THE CLASSROOM. THIS IS WHY EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE CAUGHT RED-HANDED, THEY WILL REFUSE TO CONFESS TO ANY WRONGDOING. THIS IS WHY WHEN THEY ARE SLIGHTLY BUMPED BY AN UNWITTING PASSERBY THEY FLY OFF THE HANDLE SCREAMING "HE/SHE HIT ME!!!" IT'S ALL ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM, NEVER WHAT THEY INSTIGATE. HER KIDS WEREN'T BOTHERING HER SO WHY THE HELL SHOULD ANYONE ELSE BE BOTHERED? THAT'S WHY SHE FELT THAT YOU WERE CHALLENGING HER. I SWEAR, I'M SO FRIGGING SELF-RIGHTEOUS ABOUT THIS, EITHER A) I WILL BE THE GREATEST MOTHER IN THE WORLD BECAUSE OF WHAT I'VE WITNESSED OR B) IT'S GOING TO BITE ME IN THE ASS.

I once sat thru a movie with Chris at which a group of teens threw M&Ms at us every ten minutes or so. I finally started throwing them back.
