Ok, this is much better. First, i would like to continue our discussion on beliefs, but i would also like to present some other questions that may or may not help with the original discussion

OMG! Neil, splendid question. I have this movie that is called What the Bleep do You Know? (actually it is Catty's) but she let me borrow it, and it is a really indepth look into things like that... You'd probably really enjoy it...
Hey, Neil, I don't want to argue anymore, cuz I already said what I had to say, and for some reason, I always come off as sounding like a conceited know-it-all, so I'm just going to let what happened happen and try not to be so self-rightious. I do want to apologize if I offended you or anyone in any way. I always try to have an open mind, but sometimes my opinions come off sounding as if I am not open-minded.
I'm just going to quote a guy named Bill Hicks, who was this philosopher/comedian. I'm not trying to prove or disprove anything you have said in this thread, but am merely trying to bring some humor and insight into your first question (about what reality is). I just found this quote funny and interesting.
"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is mearly energy condensed through a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, life is only a dream and we are the imaginations of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather." -Bill Hicks
I was also thinking, if reality is only whatone imagines it to be, then would matter not be energy condensed through a slow vibration, but merely a figment of one's imagination?
I want to add to my original post that "belief that" must be prior to "belief in" since it would be foolish to believe in something without any sort of source of truth. Surely no thinking person should "believe in" something if he or she has no reason to "believe that" it is. Who would march down a church aisle and say "I do"(belief in) before a congregation if he has no evidential or rational grounds for "believing that" someone he loved stood next to him at the altar?

Can you please define this consciousness? It's kinda vague.
"Life is only a dream and we are imaginations of ourselves."
I would like to ask if this is your reality.
