First of all, there are a lot of people who believe that there was wrong-doing in this election, I don't think you'll be able to find many people, Democrat or Republican, who believe that everything went perfectly well. Ther was reports of Bush votes outnumbering the total number of registered voters in one district in Ohio, and machines in Florida that counted backwards after they got to a certain point. These mistakes, while seen in a context of thousands of new machines all across the country don't seem to be too serious. But the point remains that these errors almost exclusively happened in Florida and Ohio, the two most crucial swing states, these errors all helped Bush (to my knowledge) and the manufacturer of the machines, Diebold, has strong financial ties to the Republican party. And Democrats did not win any seats in the House, they actually lost some (along with a few in the Senate), due mainly to gerrymandering. i dont think so, I think that left wingers are just looking to pick a figth, and I dont thinkt there was any gerrymandering that was due to a status quoe in the house or senate, you can't blame everything on it, especially since its not constitutional of course, as for wrong doing i think that's more of a conspiracy theory. I mean im sure there has been wrong doing in every election or the thought of wrong doing. It's not like this was a real close election Bush won by the largest amount in the popular vote. I mean if the gop wanted to bitch they would have in the clinton election, i mean the biggest complaint the gop had was clintons affair. Due to the gops tend to take morality into account. More of an aristillian view point, where as the democrats seem to view the world in a more lockean outlook, with morality not being the central role of the government. But I dont agree with this sort of stance in government, I dont like the advancements that are being made at the expense of deceny.
